Counts as close

No more than 20 calories higher or lower, in this example.

These are early results. The comparison values were drafted with AI and still need human review.

How we tested

We used 50 complete food entries from our October 18, 2026 test. An estimate counts as close when it is within 10% of its draft comparison value, which is a grade of 90 or more. Another 250 entries were excluded because they were missing values or saved Nutri results.

The comparison values were drafted with AI and have not been independently validated. Saved Nutri results may predate changes to those values. This checks calories only, not food identification, portions or macros.

The average grade was 96/100. That grade is 100 minus the absolute percentage difference, capped at zero; it is not a percentage of correct food entries.

MyFitnessPal comparison

We haven’t run the same test on MyFitnessPal ourselves. The chain restaurant grades below are the ones published in a third-party accuracy report (March 2026), not our own results.

Results, food by food

Every grade is out of 100. Green is 90 or more, yellow 70 to 89, red below 70. Nutri’s grades are from our own runs. MyFitnessPal’s grades are the ones published in a third-party accuracy report (March 2026); we did not re-test them. Comparison values were taken from that report or drafted with AI and haven’t been independently re-checked. Where Nutri has no record for a chain, its estimate is an AI estimate.

The published MyFitnessPal grades only test US foods against US (USDA) values, so there’s no MyFitnessPal grade to show for Canada. A dash means that app wasn’t tested on that food, and the everyday foods were run for the USA only.
